Abel (Remus) ★★★★★★★ Older brother. Most important thing in the world. Cain failed him in life, has failed him in death, and does everything he can to try and repent despite feeling maybe he should let Abel have his own space. Nothing could make Cain intentionally hurt his brother.	Raine Sage ✰✰★★★★★ Half-elf scholar. Like a daughter. Exceptionally bright and fascinating, Cain fought Malicant alongside her and witnessed some of her darker fears... and vis versa. They've grown closer since. He's holding off telling her that he's already adopted her in his head.
Skulduggery Pleasant ★★★✰✰✰✰ Someone whose "life" defies death. On principle, this guy is someone Cain can't suffer to exist. However, the man himself is fairly pleasant (haha) to be around. Since Cain can't do anything about the weird situation himself, there isn't any reason for overt hostilities.	Solomon Wreath ✰✰✰✰✰★★ Necromantic priest. Another one who fiddles with death. Cain is immune to his powers, and used that to help protect the people around Solomon during the strike on Malicant. Cain's interested in what Sol could tell him about himself, but not blindly so.
Anton Shudder ★★★★✰✰✰ Hotel proprietor and gist-user. Rather a good, solid man. Cain accidentally wandered into a memory-dream in the role of Anton's younger brother and it's left an impression in Cain's head. Someone trustworthy, almost family, someone to rely upon instead of be relied.	Duke Pantarei ✰✰✰✰✰✰★ Healer? Magic as manipulable particles in the air. Healing without asking but not condemning of the injuries. What kind of a world must he come from where power is so freely accessed?
China Sorrows ★✰✰✰✰✰✰ Someone dangerous. Cain doesn't know much about her, but he's felt the pull she has and would be more wary if they hadn't met in the middle of a literal fire-fight. No-nonsense and sensible, good traits to have.	Erskine Ravel ✰✰✰✰✰✰★ Someone hurting. Man who started the fire, clearly has skeletons in his closet, under his porch and hidden up the attic. Cain's seen the type, has been the type. No hard feelings.
Valdis ★✰✰✰✰✰✰ Something off about her. Presumptuous and naive, Cain doesn't mind her but he doesn't have a strong opinion, either. Her clock is the most interesting thing about her — or should he say clocks?	Gene Khan ✰✰✰✰✰★★ Stranger than. Accidentally witnessed Cain having a flashback and helped him despite his own troubles with such subjects. Selfless? Cain isn't sure, but there's something there he appreciates.
Klaus von Reinherz ★✰✰✰✰✰✰ Genial giant. Bookkeeper at the Hotel, and rather friendly besides. Apparently appreciates flowers and believes in the good nature of people. Never judge a book by its cover is in full play here.
